AGRANA Juice & Fruit Holding GmbH

AGRANA Juice & Fruit Holding GmbH was established in the 2003|04 financial year and now indirectly holds all of the interests of the fruit division.

The coordination and operational management of this division is overseen by AGRANA Fruit S.A., located in Paris, France, responsible for the fruit preparations business; and AGRANA Juice GmbH, located in Gleisdorf, Austria, which manages the fruit juice concentrate business.

Alongside sugar and starch, the fruit preparations and fruit juice concentrate businesses collectively make up the third operational division of the AGRANA Group.

The Group’s strategy of international growth was also pursued further by the fruit division during the course of 2006|07. In China, for example, AGRANA acquired a stake in the leading Chinese producer of apple juice concentrate. The production capacity of the fruit preparation facility built in Russia in 2005 was extended in order to meet the sharp rise in demand in this market. It was also possible to complete the construction of a fruit preparation plant in Brazil and to begin operations in May 2007. 
Due to their rates of population growth, rising levels of prosperity and the increasing awareness of nutritional aspects on the part of consumers, Brazil, China and Russia are all important future markets for AGRANA.
