AGRANA Stärke GmbH operates 4 starch factories:

  • in Austria, the potato starch factory in Gmünd (Lower Austria) and the maize starch factory in Aschach (Upper Austria);
  • in Hungary, the Hungrana maize starch and isoglucose factory in Szabadegyhaza (50 per cent stake);
  • in Romania, the S.C. A.G.F.D. Tandarei s.r.l. maize starch factory in Tandarei.


AGRANA makes starch and special starch products for the

  • construction chemicals industry and
  • pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.
