In 2003, the core business segments SUGAR and STARCH were supplemented through the addition of a third segment: FRUIT.
This strategic step was critical to ensuring the future growth of the AGRANA Group which had reached its primary objectives in Central and Eastern European markets.
The segment FRUIT combines the strengths of a series of successful companies under the universal AGRANA brand and continues to develop in new growth markets through geographic diversification.

In addition, this corporate arrangement also ensures that existing potentials and synergies in the areas of purchasing, administration, research & development and sales are all fully exploited. All of the companies within the segment FRUIT are ultimately owned by AGRANA Juice & Fruit Holding GmbH which is responsible for the further development and strategic management of both fruit-based business units. The segment FRUIT encompasses a total of 37 production sites spread across Europe, Asia, North and South America, Africa and Australia, from which it supplies the global food industry with high quality natural products.

- AGRANA Fruit S.A., with head offices in Paris, acts as the holding company for the unified presence of all companies engaged in the production of fruit preparations.
- AGRANA Juice GmbH, based in Gleisdorf, Austria, oversees all subsidiaries in the fruit juice concentrate segment.
