We are a great international team, looking for an enthusiastic colleague with passion for Procurement to join our Global Purchasing Organization (GPO) Team in Vienna as Intern Procurement.

Duration: 6 months (ideally starting in September/October), part-time 20 hours/week, extension may be possible

Location: Vienna, Austria

You will gain insights into all areas of daily procurement operations. Your contribution will play a key role in helping to develop, expand and maintain our global purchasing activities.

Your responsibilities:

• You will support in all aspects of procurement, including contract management, cost control, procurement productivity, supplier relationship management inventory management, quality and executional performance.
• You support global category purchasers to prepare the negotiations: collect stock information, forecasts, etc., communicate with affiliates, collect offers.
• You will support the Category Buyer team in ad-hoc purchasing activities.
• Active cooperation and communication with other internal departments and with the AGRANA affiliates.
• You contribute to cost reduction as well as productivity projects.
• You support the implementation of a result, safety and quality-oriented worldwide sourcing strategy in coordination with the AGRANA Fruit plants
• Lift up the cooperation with suppliers to the global level to ensure the cost effectiveness around the globe and other service and conditions provided.
• Contribute in assuring an adequate supply of all required materials for the affiliates at the optimal balance of cost, quality and service.

Your profile:

• Educational background or ongoing studies in economics or agriculture
• A background and/or internships in purchasing is an advantage   
• Knowledge or background in food industry is a plus
• Accurate and structured way of working paired with excellent organization skills
• Stress resistant and a negotiating talent
• MS Office and especially Excel skills for analysis and reports
• SAP and SharePoint knowledge desirable
• Excellent level of English and German is a prerequisite. Any other languages are an advantage.
