AGRANA bees at the Gmünd site

At our location in Gmünd | Lower Austria, beekeeper Patrick Pollak conscientiously looks after our AGRANA bees. A few words about his great enthusiasm:

My name is Patrick Pollak, I come from Weitra and I take care of the bees at the AGRANA site in Gmünd. With great passion, I run my beekeeping mostly on my own and manage an average of around 25 bee colonies.I got into beekeeping through my uncle, from whom I received my first bee colony as a gift. Originally, I only wanted to keep a few colonies – that it would one day turn into my own beekeeping business was not foreseeable at the time. From the very beginning, I was fascinated by what bees can achieve together. To this day, I am impressed by how perfectly everything in a bee colony is coordinated and how much arises from this interaction. In my work with bees, I follow organic practices. What matters most to me is the careful care of the colonies and the high quality of the honey. Working with bees requires attention, care and responsibility throughout the entire year – and that is exactly what makes beekeeping so special to me.
