Molasses is a syrup-like, dark brown co-product of sugar production, containing organic acids and minerals alongside approx. 42 % sugar content. Due to its high palatability and dust binding properties, molasses improves the feed acceptance and consequently increases feed intake. For rumen microorganisms, molasses represents a quickly fermentable source of energy, providing energy to rumen microorganisms, enhancing the rumen microbial protein synthesis.
- Appearance: syrupy, light to dark brown product
- Aroma: natural aroma characteristic of the product, free from foreign and off-odours.
- Quality: GMO-free, smaller quantities are available also in organic quality, mainly for the local market.
