Interview with Wenxiu Ren

Please briefly introduce yourself: What is your name? In which department and at which site do you work? What is your job title?
My name is Wenxiu Ren. I studied food science and engineering, and then joined AGRANA Fruit to work in the quality department. I have also worked in TPM (total productive maintenance) and as production manager. Now I am back again in the quality department working as a quality manager in our Dachang plant in China.
Why did you decide to work in a technical profession?
All of these job experiences complement and influence each other for my technical career. My past experiences make me get better every day which not only enrich my knowledge in my professional area, but also give me a lot of opportunity on practices in place. Moreover, I enjoy the communication and teamwork both with operators on the shopfloor and colleagues in office. I can get many tasks done which make me go forward in the right way. I would like to say that each achievement is the best thing inspiring my work passion and making me feel more confident.
Which aspects of your everyday working life in a technical profession interest you most?
In my opinion technical work can somehow be done easier from women and better than man, we are more thoughtful, more patient, more in pursuit of perfection.
