AGRANA to acquire majority stake in Atys group

AGRANA has acquired another 6 per cent of France’s Financière Atys with effect from 3 March 2005 and therefore now holds a 56 per cent stake in French global fruit preparations company Atys.

This acquisition is in fulfilment of a contract for the gradual acquisition of a 100 per cent stake in Atys signed in 2004.

Atys will be accounted for as a fully consolidated member of the AGRANA Group as of the second quarter of 2005/06 (i.e. from
1 June 2005).
